Bob Kremer

Bob Kremer (born 1936) is a retired Nebraska state senator from Aurora, Nebraska in the Nebraska Legislature and also a farmer and cattle feeder.

Personal life

He was born on Jan. 8, 1936, in Aurora, Nebraska and graduated from Aurora High School in 1953, and Northwestern College in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1958. He is a member of many farm based organizations and Pleasant View Bible Church.

State legislature

He was elected in 1998 to represent the 34th Nebraska legislative district and reelected in 2002. During his tenure, he served on the Business and Labor and Natural Resources committees as well as was the chairperson of the Committee on Agriculture. Since Nebraska voters passed Initiative Measure 415 in 2001 limiting state senators to two terms after 2001, he iwas unable run for reelection barring a court challenge of the measure.

Notable Recognition

Kremer was recently awarded Nebraska Farm Bureau's highest honor, the Silver Eagle award. According to the Nebraska Farm Bureau, "this award honors outstanding leadership and distinguished service to the agricultural industry."
